The camera settles into a held medium two-shot with the open edge visible beside them. Keep the frame's lighting, grain, and colors. He looks at her bare, snow-dusted shoulders, concerned: "You must be freezing." She looks at him with tender, sincere pity. Softly: "I'm not." He takes his hands from his pockets as she steps close and gently tucks the loose end of his scarf in closer to his neck. She gives him a closed-lip sad smile, as if acknowledging the end of something she loved. Then she turns, takes two unhurried steps to the open edge, and steps off it, dropping straight down into the black harbor water. A small splash rises from below the edge. Understated, no shock, no comedic acting. Her face stays a seal-hybrid face at all times: mottled spotted skin, whiskers, seal muzzle. Natural body physics, no morphing. Sound: the muffled hush of heavy snowfall, light harbor wind, water lapping wooden pilings, a single soft splash, then only the water. No music.
